、UT PERMISSION FROM ULINTRODUCTION1 Scope1.1 These requirements cover amateur movie and video lights intended to be hand held or attached to acamera. These lights may be cord connected, rated at a nominal 120 V for use with premises wiringsystems in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/
、NFPA 70, or may be powered by lowvoltage built-in or separate battery supplies.1.2 These requirements do not cover movie or video lights intended for professional or commercial use.1.3 Deleted October 11, 20042 General2.1 Components2.1.1 Except as indicated in 2.1.2, a component of a product covered
、 by this standard shall comply withthe requirements for that component. See Appendix A for a list of standards covering componentsgenerally used in the products covered by this standard.2.1.2 A component is not required to comply with a specific requirement that:a) Involves a feature or characterist
、ic not required in the application of the component in theproduct covered by this standard, orb) Is superseded by a requirement in this standard.2.1.3 A component shall be used in accordance with its rating established for the intended conditions ofuse.2.1.4 Specific components are incomplete in con
、struction features or restricted in performancecapabilities. Such components are intended for use only under limited conditions, such as certaintemperatures not exceeding specified limits, and shall be used only under those specific conditions.OCTOBER 11, 2004 AMATEUR MOVIE LIGHTS - UL 1230 7UL COPY
