The Home SAMPS TS contains subscription and authorization related information. The communication between the Serving SAMPS TS

For information about the network reference model used for SAMPS (when SAMPS is used for emergency calls), see TIA/EIA/IS-J-STD-036 5. 1 TINEIA-I 36-740 I 1.2 SAMPS TS Address Handling The MS shall determine the correct Multilingual Teleser

This Multilingual Teleservice Server Address shall be used by mobile originated positioning assistance request procedures started in support of the mobile terminated procedure (including deferre

30、d procedures). For a mobile originated procedure, if the MS desires to send a message to the Serving SAMPS TS, and it has not been provided with a Multilingual Teleservice Server Address for the Serving SAMPS TS, then it shall use the Designated SAMPS TS Address. 10 II 12 The MS shall use the stored

31、 Home SAMPS TS Address to contact the Home SAMPS TS in mobile originated procedures. Any SAMPS Multilingual Teleservice Server Address that is downloaded via OATS (see TIMEIA-136-720) or stored in the R-UIM (see TIA/EIA-136-033) shall be considered the Home SAMPS TS Address. 13 14 15 16 The Designat

If assistance information is not used, the mobile is operating in a stand alone mode. 5 1.3.2 MS-Assisted GPS (PCF in NW) The MS-assisted model utilizes a traditiona

37、l GPS receiver in the MS where the Position Calculation function has been moved to the SAMPS TS. The SAMPS TS sends one or more assistance messages to the MS. This assistance may help the embedded GPS sensor reduce the GPS acquisition time or increase sensitivity. The MS returns the pseudorange data

The MS may also obtain some information from the SAMPS Parameters message on the E-BCCH. Mobile Terminated Positioning Request Procedure The Mobile Terminated Positioning Reques

The MS may use the Positioning Client Identity IE or the absence of that IE to determine whether to respond to the Measure Position Request with a

If the MS accepts the Measure Position Request, and the QoS Parameters IE is included, then the MS shall read it and determine to what level it will comply with the requested QoS

Optionally, if the MS determines that it needs more GPS Assistance Data, the MS may invoke the Mobile Originated Positioning Assistance Request Procedure before responding to the Measure Position Request message. The MS shall retur
