7、y copper 1 Scope 1.1 This specification covers the requirements for electrolytic tough pitch high conductivity copper. NOTE The attention of users of this specification is drawn to the facts that: a) The shape and size (but in the case of horizontally cast wire bars, the mass) required must be speci
8、fied in tender invitations and in the order or contract (see 3.3). b) Limits for the silver content may be agreed upon between supplier and purchaser. 2 Definitions 2.1 The definitions given in SANS 805 shall apply. 3 Requirements 3.1 Chemical composition The chemical composition of electrolytic tou
9、gh pitch high conductivity copper shall be as follows: Per cent Element minimum maximum Copper (silver being counted as copper) . 99,90 Bismuth . 0,0010 Lead 0,005 Total of all impurities (excluding oxygen and silver) . 0,03 NOTE Limits for the silver content may be agreed upon between purchaser and
10、 supplier. 3.2 Resistivity The mass resistivity at 20 C of wire that is drawn (from the copper), annealed, and tested in accordance with section 7 shall not exceed 0,15328 ohm gram/m2.
