14、ion for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established h

ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. Int

16、ernational Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2. The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Public

Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. ISO shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent ri

19、this International Standard is that the European Recreational Craft Directive (Directive 94/25/EC) makes it compulsory that all recreational craft within the scope of the directive shall be labelled with a builders plate containing specified information. This applies to boats built inside the Europe

20、an Union (EU) as well as boats from other countries intended to be marketed in EU countries. As the recreational craft market is operating worldwide, it seems to be advisable to create an International Standard thus making the requirements of the builders plate known to manufacturers in countries in

21、side and outside the EU to facilitate marketing their boats in EU countries without additional requirements as to labelling.
