IN THE EVENT OF A CONFLICT, ENGLISH UNITS TAKE PRECEDENCE. DIMENSION B TO BE DETERMINED AS THE AVERAGE OF TWO DIAME

INSULATING SLEEVE MATERIAL: SEE AS7928 FOR MATERIAL DETAILS. 4. FINISH (WHISKER RESISTANT): TIN PLATED, ASTM B545, ALLOYED WITH 3%

    13、 BY WEIGHT, MINIMUM LEAD. PLATING THICKNESS SHALL BE0 .0002 INCH MINIMUM (SEE AS7928 AND GEIA-STD-0005-2 FOR MORE DETAILS). 5. INSPECTION WINDOW/LOCATOR: THE INSPECTION WINDOW AND LOCATOR SHALL PROVIDE A POSITIVE MEANS OF POSITIONING SPLICE IN THE APPLICABLE CRIMPING TOOL AND PROVIDE VISIBLE INSPECT

    14、ION OF STRIPPED WIRE ENDS. 6. CRIMPING TOOLS: CRIMPING TOOLS SHALL BE AS SPECIFIED TABLE 2. THREE ADDITIONAL SPECIMENS SHALL BE INSPECTED FOR FINISH COMPOSITION USING ANALYTICAL METHODS SUCH AS X-RAY FLUORESCENCE, SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE WITH ENERGY DISPERSION SPECTRO-PHOTOMETRY TECHNIQUE, OR

    18、OTHER ATOMIC ABSORPTION METHODS. FINISH CONTAINING LESS THAN 3% BY WEIGHT LEAD SHALL BE CAUSE FOR FAILURE TO QUALIFY. 8. QUALITY ASSURANCE: FOR QUALITY CONFORMANCE TESTING, THE SPLICE FINISH SHALL BE TESTED AS PART OF GROUP A INSPECTION. FIVE (5) SPECIMENS PER PLATING LOT SHALL BE INSPECTED FOR FINI

    19、SH COMPOSITION USING ANALYTICAL METHODS SUCH AS X-RAY FLUORESCENCE, SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE WITH ENERGY DISPERSION SPECTRO-PHOTOMETRY TECHNIQUE, OR OTHER ATOMIC ABSORPTION METHODS. FINISH CONTAINING LESS THAN 3% BY WEIGHT LEAD SHALL BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF THE ENTIRE LOT. FOR EACH LOT DELIVER
