、015-07 Superseding AMS6926A Titanium Alloy Bars, Forgings and Forging Stock 13V - 11Cr - 3Al Solution Heat Treated and Aged (Composition similar to UNS R58010) RATIONALE AMS6926B results from a Five Year Review and update of this specification that includes the removal of sample size allowance for h

、ydrogen of Table 1 (covered by ASTM E1447), requires agreement on mechanical property values for material outside specification ranges (3.5.1.1.5 and 8.6), the addition of AS6279 (3.8) and revises the report paragraph (4.4). 1. SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of

、 bars up through 4.000 inches (101.60 mm) inclusive, in nominal diameter or least distance between parallel sides, forgings of thickness up through 4.000 inches (101.60 mm), inclusive, and stock for forging of any size (See 8.6). 1.2 Application This material has been used typically for parts to be

、fabricated in the solution heat treated and aged condition, requiring high strength-to-weight ratio and stability up to 550 F (288 C), but usage is not limited to such applications. 1.2.1 Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause these products to become subject to stress-corros

、ion cracking; ARP982 recommends practices to minimize such conditions. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS The issue of the following documents in effect on the date of the purchase order forms a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. The supplier may work to a subsequent revision of a docum

、ent unless a specific document issue is specified. When the referenced document has been cancelled and no superseding document has been specified, the last published issue of that document shall apply.
