21、the requirements of 3.3.2.1 and 3.3.2.23.3.2.1 Electrical ConductivitySAE AMS4411 Page 4 of 7The conductivity will be not lower than 37.0 % IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard) (21.5 MS/m), determined on the surface of the tensile coupon. For conductivities from 33 (19.1MS/m) to 37 % IACS,
22、the material is acceptable if the requirements of 3.3.4 are met.SAE AMS4411 Page 5 of 73.3.2.2 Plate not meeting the requirements of 3.3.2.1 shall be given additional precipitation heat treatment or reheat treated. After such treatment, if all specified property requirements are met, the plate is ac
23、ceptable.3.3.3 Exfoliation Corrosion TestAs a part of periodic or surveillance testing, specimens shall not exhibit exfoliation corrosion greater than that illustrated by Photo B, Figure 2 of ASTM G34.3.3.4 Stress-Corrosion Cracking TestWhen specified, specimens tested in accordance with ASTM G 47,
24、shall show no evidence of stress corrosion cracking when stressed in the short-transverse direction at 26 ksi (179 MPa).3.3.5 Fracture Toughness TestWhen specified, specimens tested in accordance with ASTM B 645, shall meet the requirements for KIcor KQagreed between the purchaser and the mill. For
25、T-L and L-T test directions on plate 2 inches (51 mm) and under in nominal thickness, use full thickness specimens, for plate over 2 to 4 inches (51 mm to 102 mm), inclusive, in nominal thickness, use 2-inch (51 mm) specimens centered at T/2. For plate 4.001 and greater L-T and T-L shall be centered
26、 at T/4 plane. For S-L test direction, the test specimen shall be centered at T/2. Test specimen(s) orientation requirements shall be specified by purchaser.3.4 QualityPlate, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, sound, and free from foreign materials and from imperfec
27、tions detrimental to usage of the product.3.4.1 Each plate shall be ultrasonically inspected in accordance with ASTM B 594 and shall meet the requirements of 3.4.2 or 3.4.3 as applicable.3.4.2 When specified, each plate 1.000 inch to 6.000 inches (25 mm to 150 mm) in nominal thickness shall be ultra
28、sonically inspected in accordance with ASTM B 594 and shall meet the requirements of 3.4.33.4.3 Plates shall meet the requirements for ultrasonic class A for plate 1.000 to 6.000 inches (25 mm to 150 mm) innominal thickness.3.5 TolerancesShall conform to all requirements of ANSI H35.2 or ANSI H35.2M

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 Responsibility for InspectionThe vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to
30、 ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements.4.2 Classification of Tests4.2.1 Acceptance TestsComposition (3.1), short transverse, long-transverse and longitudinal tensile properties (3.3.1), electrical conductivity (3.3.2.1), ultrasonic inspection (3.4.1), dimensional tolerances (3.5
31、); when specified, fracture toughness (3.3.5), are acceptance tests and, except for composition, shall be conducted on each lot.SAE AMS4411 Page 6 of 74.2.2 Periodic TestsStress corrosion cracking (3.3.4) and exfoliation corrosion testing (3.3.3) are periodic tests and shall be performed at a freque
32、ncy selected by the vendor, unless, frequency of testing is specified by purchaser.4.3 Sampling and TestingShall be in accordance with AMS 2355 and the following.4.3.1 Tensile specimens shall be taken with axis of specimens parallel to each applicable grain flow direction specified in Table 2.4.4 Re
33、portsThe vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the product conforms to the composition, tolerances and ultrasonic inspection; and showing the numerical results of tests on each inspection lot to determine conformance to the other acceptance test requirements an
34、d to the periodic tests, if performed. This report shall include the purchase order number, inspection lot number(s), AMS 4411, size and quantity. The report shall also identify the producer, product form, and the mill produced size.4.5 Resampling and RetestingShall be in accordance with AMS 2355.5.
35、 PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY5.1 IdentificationShall be in accordance with ASTM B 666/B 666M.5.2 PackagingThe product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with ASTM B 660 and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the prod
36、uct to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery.6. ACKNOWLEDGMENTA vendor shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders.7. REJECTIONSProduct not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser
37、, will be subject to rejection.8.
