    5、ised 2017-06 Superseding AMS4375L Sheet and Plate, Magnesium Alloy 3.0Al - 1.0Zn - 0.20Mn (AZ31B-O) Annealed and Recrystallized (Composition similar to UNS M11311) RATIONALE AMS4375M revises the Title to correct the temper designation, revises Composition (Table 1), Condition (3.2), Properties (3.3.

    6、3), Reports (4.4.1) and Identification, and is a Five-Year Review and update of this specification. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers a magnesium alloy in the form of sheet and plate from 0.016 to 3.000 inches (0.41 to 76.20 mm), inclusive, in thickness (see 8.4). 1.2 Application This prod

    7、uct has been used typically for low-strength parts requiring rigidity with low density, but usage is not limited to such applications. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS The issue of the following documents in effect on the date of the purchase order forms a part of this specification to the extent specified h

    8、erein. The supplier may work to a subsequent revision of a document unless a specific document issue is specified. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Composition Shall conform to the percentages by weight shown in Table 1, determined in accordance with AMS2355. Table 1

    19、to 50.80, incl 69 Over 50.80 to 76.20, incl 55 SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS4375M Page 4 of 5 3.3.3 Mechanical property requirements for product outside the range covered by 1.1, shall be agreed upon between purchaser and producer. 3.4 Quality The product, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quali

    20、ty and condition, sound, and free from foreign materials and imperfections detrimental to usage of the product. 3.5 Tolerances Shall conform to all applicable requirements of ANSI H35.2/H35.2M. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The producer of the product shall supply

    21、 all samples for producers tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests 4.2.1 Accept

    22、ance Tests Composition (3.1), tensile properties (3.3.1), and tolerances (3.5) are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each lot. 4.2.2 Periodic Tests Compressive properties (3.3.2) are periodic tests and shall be performed at a frequency selected by the producer, unless frequency of testing i

    23、s specified by purchaser. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 4.4 Reports The producer of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the product conforms to the chemical composition and tolerances showing the numerical results of tests on each inspec

    24、tion lot to determine conformance to the other acceptance test requirements and stating that the product conforms to the other specified requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, inspection lot number, AMS4375M, size and quantity. The report shall also identify the producer,

    25、 the mill product form, and the mill produced size. 4.4.1 When the product size is outside the range covered by 1.1, the report shall contain a statement to that effect. 4.4.2 When material produced to this specification, is beyond the sizes allowed in the scope or tables or other exceptions are tak

    26、en to the technical requirements listed in Section 3 (see 5.1.1), the report shall contain a statement “This material is certified as AMS4375M (EXC) because of the following exceptions.” and the specific exceptions shall be listed. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. SA

    27、E INTERNATIONAL AMS4375M Page 5 of 5 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification Shall be in accordance with ASTM B666 or ASTM B666M. 5.1.1 When technical exceptions are taken (see 4.4.2), the material shall be marked with AMS4375M (EXC). 5.2 Protective Treatment Product shall be protected from d

    28、amage during storage and shipment by a method determined by producer unless specified by purchaser. Examples of typical methods include but are not limited to interleaving with paper or oiling of the surface. 5.3 Packaging The product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with ASTM B660 and i

    29、n compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 6. ACKNOWLEDGMENT A producer shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quotations and when acknowle

    30、dging purchase orders. 7. REJECTIONS Product not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser, will be subject to rejection. 8. NOTES 8.1 Revision Indicator A change bar (l) located in the left margin is for the convenience of the user in locating areas where technic
